NOTES: Lake City sophomore Tillie Sobek, who won as a freshman, is seeded second in the 200-yard freestyle (2 minutes, .04 seconds), Post Falls sophomore Daisy Whitney is seeded fourth in the event (2:01.64) ... Sobek, also the defending champion in the 500 freestyle, is seeded second in that event (5:21.69) ... Coeur d’Alene senior Isaac Thorpe returns to defend his 50 freestyle title and is seeded fourth (22.48 seconds) ... Thorpe is also seeded fourth in the 100 freestyle (49.73 seconds) ... Lake City junior Quinn Taylor is seeded second in the 100 backstroke (1:07.35) and 100 freestyle (55.02). “Bishop Kelly and Timberline will be tough competition,” said Lake City coach Shelly Sobek, in her eighth season. “We will have to earn any place we achieve at the meet. The relays are very close and will play a big role in the total score since they are worth double the individual races.” ... Boise has won each of the boys team titles since 2018, the first year the Idaho High School Activities Association began sponsoring the meet ... Coeur d’Alene’s girls were third at state last year, the program’s highest finish since 2015, when the Vikings finished a program-best second ... Bishop Kelly, now in 6A in swimming, won three straight 4A boys titles from 2019 to 2021 before winning again in 2023
