POST FALLS: Council ignores citizens’ concerns
Upon reading the recent published article “Some Citizens Oppose Post Falls Subdivision,” I am appalled that elected city officials continue to ignore and disregard the concern of citizens concerning the continued OVERPOPULATION of our cities. Experts have already weighed in that we had better be paying attention to the aquifer, but that also seems to be falling on deaf ears. When will our elected officials start to listen to the citizens who voted them into office and heed the warnings that are being sent? Will it be too late? I was born and raised here in North Idaho. I have been both a resident of Post Falls and Coeur d’Alene, and I pray that our valuable resources can keep up with what our City Councils keep approving. Can there not be some strategic thought given to what is being approved, rather than just rubber stamping “APPROVED” on every request for a subdivision that is brought before you? It is OK to say “NO!” The aquifer is begging you to slow down!
