Sting SC 09 boys Academy team: The Sting started off Elite Academy League (EAL) play this past weekend at The Fields at Real Life in Post Falls, under head coach Andy Vredenburg.  

On Saturday, the Sting beat the Mt. Rainier Futbol Club 5-1. Goals were scored by Pax Longanecker, Ethan Luna, Brooks Judd (2), and Mason Taylor, with assists from Ethan Luna, Taylor Smith, Isaac Lowder (2) and Jacob Melun. Grant Johnson had 5 saves.

On Sunday morning, the Sting beat Valencia/Dortmund 3-1. Sting goals were scored by Isaac Lowder (2) and Jacob Melun, with an assist from Mason Taylor. Landon Brinkmeier had 3 saves, Grant Johnson 2.
