Sons of Norway Lutefisk and Lefse feast set
Sons of Norway Harald Haarfager Lodge in Coeur d’Alene has scheduled its traditional Norwegian Lutefisk and Meatball Luncheon for Nov. 16 at Trinity Lutheran Church.
The menu includes Norwegian lutefisk and meatballs, lefse, potatoes, carrots, pickled beets and sandbakkels. Packages of lefse will be available for purchase.
“Our lodge members take care of all the fixings so people can come and enjoy without doing all the work themselves," said Cindy McManus, spokeswoman.
Seatings are from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 2 to 3:30 p.m. Adults tickets are $35, youth are $15 and kids under 6 are free. Family tickets are $80.
Tickets: 208-262-8020.
Members of Harald Haarfager Lodge of Sons of Norway also recently awarded $3,600 to 19 nonprofit groups, in addition to over $1,000 awarded to nonprofits earlier this year.
“North Idahoans are very generous, and it feels good to pass these gifts to other groups who are doing important work in our community,” said Dave McManus, lodge president. “Our members do a great job, and I am proud of this organization."
