CLN: Editorial was hurtful
On Wednesday, Oct. 23, you ran an editorial that was shamefully misinformed and personally hurtful. Karen Campbell served as a CLN trustee until she moved. By all accounts she is a kind, helpful person that tried to help the library without reimbursement. Because she expressed her religious beliefs you characterized her as a completely crazy person.
Do you realize how misinformed you are? Every American President has expressed a belief in God, starting with George Washington, who said, “It is impossible to rightly govern a nation without God and the Bible.” Our National Anthem has the words, “In God is our trust.” Even our Vice President, Kamala Harris said on Sunday that she prays at least once a day. If there is one person who needs to go to the library, it is you.
As far as the library being closed on Sunday, do you know of one non-essential government office that is open Sunday? None.
You owe a personal apology to Karen Campbell.
