MARIJUANA: Gateway drug destroys lives

| May 31, 2024 1:00 AM

The Biden Administration may ease restrictions/reclassify marijuana because they say it has less potential for abuse than some of the nation’s more dangerous drugs such as LSD and heroin. They wouldn’t make it legal but would allow changes at the federal level to give lawmakers less hesitation to legalize it.

Currently, 24 states legalize recreational marijuana, and 41 states have medical marijuana programs. Let’s think about recreational marijuana for a moment. It has been said (proven true) that marijuana is a gateway drug, a beginning point for the drug life and pure hell. You simply don’t start with heroin, fentanyl, etc.

Research shows regular cannabis use on adolescent brains can result in mental health disorders. So why would anyone in their right mind make it easier to acquire recreational substances that’ll lead to destroyed lives, and misery and pain to countless families and loved ones? Let’s put it this way — wouldn’t that be evil? Think about it. Would you allow a marijuana user to babysit your child, drive your car, walk your dog, do any task for you no matter how easy or insignificant it may be, or work for you in any responsible position?

There were over 100,000 deaths in the U.S. this past year due to fentanyl usage. Can you imagine the pain, tears and broken lives left behind — more than likely attributed to that first marijuana experiment. I’m really trying desperately to fit recreational marijuana users into an area of usefulness, but to no avail.

Hey, I got it — writing Biden’s teleprompter scripts and press conference answers. They could do that. But wait — it seems like they are doing it already!
