Munyer, a junior, won the state 4A triple jump title with a mark of 36 feet, 6 ¼ inches at the state meet on May 18 at Mountain View High in Meridian, her second straight title. “Besides Ziya’s work ethic, I think what makes her such a great athlete is her mental toughness,” Lakeland coach Sarah Nave said. “Ziya continues to push through the challenges and thrives in the face of pressure. She knows to perform and she gets the job done.”
