NOTICE OF SOLE SOURCE EXPENDITURE NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, has determined, pursuant to Idaho Code § 67-2808(2)(a)(viii), that competitive solicitation is impractical, disadvantageous, or unreasonable under the circumstances: Upfitting of police equipment for seven (7) Police Ford Explorers. By utilizing one vendor for all of the various emergency equipment in each vehicle, we can standardize the install and this vendor is able to supply all of the equipment for a cost lower than the police department could purchase it separately and have it installed much quicker than if we were to preform the services ourselves. The purchase is critical in order to replace worn, high mileage vehicles necessary for law enforcement.
