Jack E. Domit (John), 87, passed peacefully in Post Falls, Idaho, on May 2, 2024. He was preceded in death by his wife, Peggy (Stangle), his daughter, Robin Van Horne, and Darlene Domit, the mother of his children. He is survived by his loving children, Robert, Jackie, John and Leilani and his 11 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. His extended family consists of three stepchildren, four step-grandchildren and two step-great-grandchildren, his sister, Linda Young, two nephews and several great-nephews and nieces.

Jack grew up in Spokane, under the watchful eye of his father, police captain John Domit, and mother Kay (Dunstan), along with his sister, Linda.

He played football for Lewis and Clark High School (Class of '54) and Washington State University. He graduated in 1960 with a bachelor of science in agriculture while working several jobs and having three kids. Jack was a very proud Cougar!

He lived for hunting season! His greatest hunting story was when he finally bagged his Moose in Northern Canada. He always loved sharing hunting stories with his grandchildren. Some stories are still highly debated.

Jack loved spending time in the mountains and nature. He loved to travel and visited places all over the world with his wife, Peggy, and often with his sister, with whom he was very close. He especially enjoyed sunny Puerto Vallarta.

He will be greatly missed and always in our hearts.

A celebration of Jack's life will be held May 25, 2024, at 2 p.m. at Templin's on the River, 414 E. First Ave., Post Falls, Idaho.
