Gerald (Jerry) Shriner, 81

Mr. Gerald (Jerry) Shriner, formerly of Coeur d'Alene, passed away May 16, 2024, at his residence in Smithville, Tenn. Jerry was born in Spokane, Wash., and graduated from the University of Idaho. He spent most of his career in the field of corrections and, for many years, was active with the Kootenai County Democrats. He enjoyed living on his family farm in Rockford Bay and spent many hours on horseback in the Idaho and Montana wilderness. 

He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Diane Shriner; his children, Annie Shriner, Julie Logan (Shriner) and Kevin Shriner; his grandchildren, Forrest, Hannah, Clara and Nicholas; and two great-grandchildren Brandon and Addison. He was preceded in death by his eldest son, Royce Shriner. No memorial service is planned.
