ANNIVERSARY
John and Nancy Runge
65th Anniversary
John and Nancy (DeVoe) Runge were married May 23, 1959, at the First Christian Church on Fourth Street in Coeur d'Alene.
They have lived all 65 years in Coeur d'Alene. John worked at Runge Furniture from a teenager until 80 years old. Nancy took on leadership roles in many activities.
They have four children: John Runge, Kristine and Bruce Brewer, Karen and Jeff Hill, and Jeffrey and Shauna Runge. They have 11 grandchildren: Shawn Hill, Chris Hill, Hailey Hill, Nick Clizer, Spencer Clizer, Emily Runge, Abby Runge, Ethan Runge, Beth Leberte, Cliff Brewer and Sterling Brewer. They have seven great-grandchildren.
They will celebrate their 65th anniversary at a later date this summer.
MILESTONE BIRTHDAY
Faith Johnson
100 and FABULOUS!
Faith Johnson will be celebrating her 100th birthday May 29, complete with family surrounding her, a party honoring her, and music being sung in her honor. This will be held at Pacifica Senior Living on 2100 Sherman Ave. in Coeur d' Alene at 1:30 p.m.
Faith was born in North Dakota in 1924.
She fell in love with her future husband and followed him to Japan. He was in the Air Force and eventually retired as a Colonel. They were married in Japan and Faith adored this culture. To this day her favorite food is Asian.
Their firstborn son Evan was born in Japan, and they went on to have a little girl named Trista after returning to the States.
Faith found great pride in being a homemaker and raising her two children. She was very proud of her husband and the two had a splendid marriage.
She and her husband spoiled the five grandchildren that were blessed in the family and to this day those adult grandchildren visit her at Pacifica Senior Living.
In Faith's younger days, she was an awesome card player, great at gambling and adored bowling.
She excelled in golf and enjoyed many days on our local golf courses, and those around the world.
She has a true team spirit for the Seahawks and the Mariners to this day and is usually watching the games and rooting them on when they are on television.
Faith is such a joy to all.
