Norma 'Jean' Ekwortzel, 81

Norma 'Jean' Ekwortzel went home to be with her Lord and Savior on May 7, 2024, at the age of 81. 

Jean was born to Grant and Mary Kay Jensen on Dec. 31, 1942, in Albany, Calif. She worked as a bookkeeper and cashier for Kinney Shoes and managed other shoe stores and Holiday gas stations in Billings, Mont. Jean enjoyed reading, jigsaw puzzles and playing cards.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Rick, her mom and dad and her sister, Tana.

She is survived by her sons, Fred Geist (wife Julie) and Perry Geist; five grandchildren, Matthew, Kailyn, Josie, Hallie and Cody; 13 great-grandkids; and nephew Steven McKee.

A memorial service will be held for her at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 25, 2024, at The Altar Church on Best Avenue and Ninth Street in Coeur d'Alene.
