Nominations wanted for Mayor’s Awards in the Arts

COEUR d'ALENE — The city of Coeur d’Alene Arts Commission is accepting nominations for the 28th annual Mayor’s Awards in the Arts. Nominations must be received by Aug. 30.

The Mayor’s Awards in the Arts are presented by the Coeur d’Alene Arts Commission and the city to recognize and encourage excellence in the arts and to stimulate and support awareness of the arts throughout the community, according to a press release.

Nominees may be those "who have, through distinguished service or creative accomplishment, made a significant contribution to the arts in Coeur d’Alene," the release said.

Award recipients will be honored in October.
