NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING On the 4th day of June 2024, at 5:00 p.m. at City of Hayden Lake City Hall, 9393 N. Strahorn Road, Hayden Lake, Idaho 83835, a hearing will be held by the City Council of the City of Hayden Lake for the purpose of considering several text amendments and updates to the City Comprehensive Plan. The amendments update information relating to population, housing, land use, natural resources, transportation and public services. The amendments also revise several of the Goals and Policies for these components of the Plan relating to protecting the character of existing neighborhoods, annexation, accessory living units, future growth and transportation. Lastly, the amendments require the Plan to be reviewed on an annual basis. No later than 4:00 p.m. on the date of the hearing, any person may file with the City Clerk of the City of Hayden Lake, 9393 N. Strahorn Road, Hayden Lake, Idaho 83835, written testimony for inclusion in the record at the hearing. Such testimony must contain the interested party’s name and address and the reasons for the testimony. Oral testimony will also be allowed at the public hearing so long as it complies with the requirements of the City of Hayden Lake City Code. Further information regarding this hearing along with the full text of the proposed amendments may be obtained by contacting the City Clerk at the address listed above. Persons needing an interpreter or special accommodations are urged to contact the City Clerk at 208-772-2161 at least forty-eight (48) hours before the hearing. A copy of the corresponding amendments is on file with the City Clerk for public inspection. The burden of proof is by a preponderance of the evidence, which means that Council must believe it is more likely than not that an error was made.
