Coeur d'Alene to host figure skating event this weekend

COEUR d'ALENE — The Lake City Classic, a figure skating competition put on by the Spokane Figure Skating Club and Lake City Figure Skating Club, is scheduled to run today through Sunday at Frontier Ice Arena, 3525 W. Seltice Way.

Competition is scheduled for today from 7:30 a.m. to 8 p.m., Saturday from 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. and Sunday from 7:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The event is free to the public. 

Competitors range from age 4-62, event organizers said. 

A total of 191 skaters are registered, and 375 events scheduled.
