ELECTION: Support slate of proven leaders

| May 16, 2024 1:00 AM

As the May 21 primary election approaches, I urge all citizens to exercise their right to vote and participate in shaping the future of our community. One crucial way to do this is by casting your ballot for your precinct committee person.

Precinct committee persons play a vital role in our democratic process. They represent their neighborhoods within political parties, helping to select party leaders, endorse candidates and shape party platforms. By electing dedicated and informed committee persons, we ensure that our voices are heard and our values are represented.

Your vote in the primary election is not just a right; it is a responsibility. It is a chance to have a direct impact on the direction of our community and the issues that matter most to us. Whether you are passionate about education, health care, housing, the environment or other important issues, voting for precinct committee persons is a crucial step in making a difference.

I encourage all citizens to learn about the candidates running for precinct committee person and their visions for our community. Many dedicated community leaders have stepped up to put their name on the May 21 primary ballot as a candidate for their precinct. These include Lisa Aitken, John Young, Sue Thilo, Darin Hayes, Wendy Gabriel, Pam Houser, Ryan Davis, Rand Wichman, Charlie Specht and many more.

On Tuesday, May 21, make your voice heard by casting your primary ballot for a proven community leader. Together, we can ensure a brighter future for our community.
