ELECTION: Pick Lisa for Precinct 411

I am honored to endorse my friend Lisa Carlson Aitken for Precinct Committee Captain for Precinct 411. A Coeur d’Alene native and product of Coeur d’Alene schools, she is also raising her children and grandchildren in this community.

Like most parents and grandparents, she wants a safe and inclusive community for not only her family but all of the families in our area. Lisa has chosen to participate in local politics in order to achieve that goal. She hopes to improve our quality of life, facilitate respectful discourse, and generate thoughtful debate where listening is as valued as speaking.  

As the population of our area increases, we find ourselves encountering more diversity in values and principles. Some of that diversity is resulting in divisiveness and polarization. Our community needs people with strong moral courage, a solid ethical compass, a heart to listen respectfully, and the audacity to facilitate positive change to help navigate those differences and challenges. 

Lisa is that person. She is a wonderful asset to our community; a devoted wife, mother and grandmother; a great friend; a faithful parishioner of Pope St. Pius X Church;, and a dedicated Coeur d’Alene lifelong citizen. I am proud of her willingness to share her time, talent and treasure with our community and I hope that those in her precinct will support her efforts with their votes.
