ELECTION: Compare campaigns; vote Wagner
David Oliveria had an excellent letter to the editor in the Coeur d’Alene Press on May 9 concerning candidates for precinct chair in his precinct. Following his example, I advocate a vote for Paul Wagner, Precinct Chair for 511.
Like Oliveria, we received cards asking for our votes for precinct chair in our precinct. The differences between Wagner’s campaign material and his opponent are stark. While Wagner’s card provided substantial information about his background, experience and commitment to the community, his opponent’s card relied solely on a picture of Donald Trump and vague promises without any substantive details about the candidate.
Wagner’s 40-year residency, decades of experience in timberland management, and his track record of public service, including his tenure as a Fire Commissioner and his current role as a trustee with the Post Falls School Board, demonstrate his dedication to serving the community.
Given Wagner’s proven record of community service and his clear communication of his qualifications, it’s a logical choice to support him for Precinct Chair No. 511. Your decision to vote for Paul Wagner on May 21 reflects a commitment to electing candidates with a genuine dedication to serving their constituents.
