RACISM: Justice just wasn’t served

I understand the constraints of the legal system regarding the harassment of the Utah women’s athletes who were visiting our city. However, by not even giving him a slap on the wrist, the message is sent to other “fun” seekers that this behavior is fine and will have NO consequences. Very disappointing.

There must be some path to address what happened in this case. For any who didn’t learn this growing up, yelling obscenities at others is unacceptable. 

Our city’s reputation is sullied and folks who heard about this will think twice about enjoying Coeur d’Alene in the future. Not what we want national news to showcase as OK in this town.
