MEDICAID: A big win for all Idaho

It was a great day for many in our state when the Idaho Legislature adjourned and not only left Medicaid expansion in place — as clearly intended by Idaho voters — but actually extended benefits to new mothers for a year postpartum.

After some talk earlier in the session about “fixing” the program — though it is not in any way broken — it seems like most lawmakers listened to the many, many voters who let them know how important the program is to keep Idaho healthy and thriving into the future. I hope this trend continues.
