Miranda Danielle (Boss) Popp Keur, 34

Miranda passed away peacefully April 2, 2024, at her home in Kalispell, Mont., with her husband at her side after battling cancer for three years.

Born in Louisville, Ky., on Jan. 14, 1990, to parents David Lawrence Spencer and Kathie Joy (Catlett) Spencer. Her father, David, passed away from leukemia when Miranda was two years old. Kathie and Miranda moved into the basement apartment of Kathie’s parents, Ken and Sue Catlett.

Miranda’s mom, Kathie, met Dan Boss from Idaho on the internet in 1996 and married in November 1997. Miranda was seven and had a new home in Athol, Idaho. Dan Boss adopted Miranda at age 10, becoming her official Dad and giving her the new name “Boss.” Her life blossomed even more when she became a big sister to Rachel Alexis on Christmas Eve, December 1998. Rachel couldn’t have asked for a better big sister and friend than Miranda.

Miranda attended Timberlake High School in Spirit Lake, Idaho, where she was their “Timberlake Tigers” mascot during her freshman year. She became a junior varsity cheerleader in her sophomore year and moved up to varsity cheerleader in her junior and senior years at Timberlake. 

She attended “Toni and Guy School of Cosmetology” in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, she got married and later divorced Keven Custer, and worked for the J Miller Salon in Coeur d’Alene. While at J Miller Salon, Chandler Popp Keur came into Miranda's life. They were married Feb. 1, 2021, in Kalispell, Mont.

Miranda was preceded in death by her mother, Kathie, and her grandmothers, Sue Catlett, Margie Pruett and Nadine Boss. Survivors include her father, Dan Boss, sister Rachel Boss and husband Chandler Pop Keur, and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
