ELECTION: Support Idaho Freedom Caucus

As an immature teenager anxious to hurl into adulthood, I thought the yearned-for adult “freedoms” meant “anything goes.” With life experience however, we learn of freedom’s weightiness and accompanying responsibilities while being mindful of its necessary guardrails. 

This three-century old quote reminds us that freedom fighters have always been needed and therefore, will always be needed. So, who are the current and local statesmen being eternally vigilant on behalf of our liberties? The Idaho Freedom Caucus. This legislator group is doing exactly that and working tirelessly for us. The local members are House Representatives: Joe Alfieri, Dale Hawkins, Elaine Price, Heather Scott and Tony Wisniewski. It’s an organization of demonstrated conservatives with a proven record of liberty advocacy.

On the Idaho Freedom Caucus website, these legislators publicly commit to four seminal principles: 1) protecting constitutional rights, 2) promoting fiscal responsibility, transparency and accountability, 3) restoring quality education and 4) supporting and protecting families and children. They provide detailed updates regarding their endeavors and accomplishments via their blog at substack.com/@idahofreedomcaucus.

Freedom is certainly not free and responsible citizens recognize it can’t be “anything goes.” It may seem burdensome to fight so hard for it, but the significant principles listed above are precisely why the fight is so worthwhile. Centuries from now, Idaho’s Freedom Caucus statesmen may, too, be quoted for their substantial deeds and vigilance in fighting for Idaho’s citizens and our liberties.
