ELECTION: KCRCC needs major change
The Friday, May 2 opinion by KCRCC chair Brent Regan is yet another hit piece that is short on facts but long on misinformation.
While Regan cites a study by the Institute for Legislative Analysis (ILA), an innocuous enough sounding organization, ILA is in fact an “American political research organization which serves as a data and policy hub for right-of-center organizations.”
Placing trust in any agenda driven policy group, right or left, does not promote solutions, good civics, healthy discourse or unity. It serves to bolster power for its benefactors by inciting fear and anger in the masses directed toward imaginary boogiemen living among us. Pitiful how people calling themselves Christian act anything but.
Let’s be clear, local political leaders who push agendas are doing a disservice to our community. Any resident even passively paying attention to the chaos at NIC, the mess in the assessor’s office and the dysfunction at CLN realizes that the root cause is the poor quality of “rated and vetted” candidates selected by KCRCC.
Commodore Regan seems to relish driving his philosophical wedge into our community which has in turn become suspicious and untrusting of government, politicians, and whomever they label Rino or Socialist.
If this circus sideshow wasn’t so damaging to the community, it would be funny. Change is necessary so on May 21 — please use common sense, vote and vote for change.
