KROC: Wouldn’t be here without these leaders
On May 11, 2009, The Kroc Center in Coeur d’Alene opened its doors to the community. However, its beginnings date back to 2004 when Sue Thilo and former Mayor Sandi Bloem joined the Idaho Kroc Initiative Task Force under the direction of former Idaho First Lady Patricia Kempthorne.
Sue and Sandi’s hard work and dedication earned Coeur d’Alene serious consideration, and alongside other exceptional leaders, they mobilized the community to make The Kroc Center a reality in Coeur d’Alene.
The gift of The Kroc Center has positively impacted thousands of people in the community thanks to the leadership and commitment of Founding Board Members, including Sue Thilo, Sandi Bloem, Chief Allan, Harry Amend, Janet and Les Atchley, Dave Barnes, Steve Griffitts, Rick Barton, Tony Berns, Patty Breuchaud, Katie Brodie, Art Brown, Jonathan Coe, Joe Fabiano, Kenny Gabriel, Denny Hague, Greg Helbling, Andy Holloran, Cyndie Johnson, Lonne Jordahl, Joe Morris, Teresa Mullen, Kay Nelson, Sandy Patano, Mac Pooler, Doug Potter, Gary Retter, Rick Richards, Jack Riggs, Sally Robideaux, Elaine Smith, Troy Tymesen, Paul Van Noy, Gloria Waggoner and Cheryl Weixel. We extend our gratitude to each of them.
