PARTIES: Here’s one disturbing similarity
Thanks to Doug Miller’s “Parties: Darn right there’s a difference,” Coeur d’Alene Press, Sunday, March 24. It struck a nerve.
His letter to the editor made me revisit Art Macomber’s and Evan Koch’s My Turn columns on Israel and October 7th.
The issue of Israel, the Jews, and anti-semitism is not confined to the fringes of society. It manifests itself across the political spectrum. Both political parties use anti-semitism to express their political views and hide their anti-semitism in whatever political arguments they want to make.
Personally, the extremes of both the Republican and Democratic parties have a more congruent expression of ant-semitism than they’ll admit.
I found both the Macomber and Koch “My Turn’s” to be self-serving, annoying, flawed, with a double standard.
