KCRCC: Statement proves racist points

Just read the statement from Brent Regan’s KCRCC on Racial Supremacy. My advice: Take it down ASAP.

It is filled with dog-whistles and out-and-out racist tropes that don’t look good on the Republican Party. The chief red flag is how it elevates “skepticism about whether racism really exists” as the MOST IMPORTANT QUESTION. 

It, objectively, is not. And raising doubt has been a ploy of racist sympathizers for time immemorial.

In the statement, calling out racism is described as “weaponizing labels.” I can’t call a drug dealer a “purveyor of poison,” a loan shark “greedy,” or a pedophile “immoral?” A person who yells at a visiting young female athlete words that de-humanize her… is a “racist.”

This denial from KCRCC is damning in how anemically it actually condemns undeniable acts of racism.
