BEHAVIOR: Not hard to identify its source

It is deplorable when anyone harasses others with despicable, dehumanizing language. (Utah coach says team was shaken after experiencing racist hate during NCAA Tournament March 26.)

This behavior has been encouraged and modeled by a man who has now become the leader of one of our major political parties. When people are called “vermin” or ridiculed for their disabilities, they are dehumanized. 

Elevating that man to be their leader gives others the green light to behave as despicably as him. Only when Americans stand up to these bullies will we succeed at stopping this outrageous behavior.
