VETERANS PRESS: Paving a path to 'Help and Hope' for veterans and their families for over 5 years

Over the past 68 months, Veterans Help Net has partnered with the Coeur d'Alene/Post Falls Press to produce the monthly edition of the Veterans Press.

We have published hundreds of “Hey Veterans! Did you Know” articles that told of the many benefits and services available to our veterans and their families. We printed dozens of stories about veteran support organizations and stories about the incredible community support found in our towns.

Over the years we have had many, many readers tell us that they found “help and hope” because they found information in the Veterans Press.

Last week we got word of another great success story from the local Tax-Aide organization. It came from a local couple who came in to get their taxes prepared by this free tax-help service.

The spouse was receiving more than $2,500/month for providing “caregiving services” for her husband. This program pays the spouse or family member to provide home caregiving help for qualified veterans. The wife went on to say that this was a “life-changing” discovery.

The Tax-Aide adviser asked the wife how she knew about the program, and she quickly and enthusiastically told them she read it in the Veterans Press! She then contacted one of the help sources in the Veterans Press “North Idaho Resource Directory.”

She also said she passed this information to another veteran family and they qualified and are also receiving monthly payments.

Every month there are “Hey Veterans! Did you Know?” articles and other related stories about veterans who needed help and found “Help and Hope.” At the end of every one of our stories, we ask… "Does this sound like someone you know?” If it does, show them this article and let them know there is help out there.

This is one of many, many success stories that begin as a story in the Veterans Press. We want to thank the Coeur d'Alene/Post Falls Press, their awesome staff and the advertisers for supporting this incredible local resource.
