SHERMAN: A solution for better weekends

I was running late and missed the St. Patrick’s Day parade this year. In the aftermath of the parade, as I was sitting outside Studio 107 with a glass of wine, I noticed how unusually pleasant it was. The reason was that Sherman hadn’t been reopened to traffic yet.

Another 20 minutes later there was tons of noise from cars, motorcycles, diesel trucks, music from cars waiting at the stoplight, etc. It was hard to hear my friend. 

I want to suggest that during the summer from Saturday morning to Sunday afternoon, Sherman be closed to traffic between First Street and Seventh Street. The city closes the road by City Park after Memorial Day. We should do something similar for Sherman.
