PREP ROUNDUP: Nordman, Bridge, lead Coeur d'Alene past Timberlake

COEUR d’ALENE — Junior Leah Nordman pitched a one-hitter with nine strikeouts as the 5A Coeur d’Alene Vikings beat the 3A Timberlake Tigers 11-0 in nonleague play Monday at Larry Schwenke Field.

Freshman Kyndal Bridge went 3 for 4 with a triple, double and four runs batted in for Coeur d’Alene (2-2). Freshman Molly Nelson was 2 for 4 with three runs scored for the Vikings, and junior Chloe Burke was 2 for 4 and scored twice. Preslie McLaughlin had a two-run single in the first.

Nordman walked two and hit a batter. Jesi Kitchin had the lone hit for Timberlake (2-3), a two-out double in the third.

Timberlake travels to Lake City today for a 3 p.m. doubleheader.

Coeur d’Alene returns to action April 6 at home vs. Lakeland in an Inland Empire League doubleheader.

Madalyn Green went 3 for 4 and drove in three runs for Grangeville (2-0).
