Colleen Louise Moreland, 82

Colleen was born to Colin and Jean O’donnell on March 18, 1941, in Seattle, Wash.

Colleen spent her childhood in the Seattle area mostly Bainbridge Island. Her family moved around for her father’s profession as an underwater welder. She moved to the Couer d’Alene area in high school, where she met her future husband, Charles A. Moreland. Charles and Colleen were married June 16, 1959. They lived in the Hayden area, where they raised their children, Charles C. and Wendy.

Colleen worked as a realtor for most of her career after retiring. She spent most of her time at Mirror Lake, camping with friends and family. She loved to spend her days reading, fishing and watching grandkids.

Colleen passed the afternoon of March 2, 2024. She will forever remain in our hearts as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend.

She is preceded in death by her late husband, her parents and her brother, Timothy O’donnell.

Colleen is survived by her children; Charles C. Moreland, and Wendy L. Darlas  (Steve), five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and her sister, Gayle Anthony (Tom).

As per her request, there will be a celebration of life in June at her beloved Mirror Lake.
