Kenneth W. Graves Jr., 74

Kenneth William Graves of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, passed peacefully from this earth Tuesday, Feb. 6. Kenny is survived by his son, Tysen W. Graves (wife Katie and grandsons Roper and Rowdy), his best friend, Jerilyn Whitaker, his ex-wife, Lynn Batchelder Graves Nachtwey, his sisters, Diana Sarratt (husband Rick — deceased) and Janet Barber (husband Larry), brother Dennis Graves (wife Gretchen) and numerous nieces and nephews.

Kenny was preceded in death by his brother, Jerry Graves, and his parents, Kenneth Sr. and Nellie Graves. Kenny was born in Sandpoint, Idaho, on May 17, 1949. The family later settled in Coeur d’Alene, where Kenny graduated from Coeur d’Alene High School in 1970. He worked as a lineman at Kaiser Aluminum and also as a union laborer.

Kenny was a simple man who loved motorcycles, his friends and his family. He competed for many years at Huetter Speedway, loved to ski on Schweitzer, take road trips and hikes in the woods.

A celebration of life will be held at 1 p.m. March 16, 2024. Unity Church, 4465 N. 15th St., Coeur d’Alene, ID 83815. A reception to follow at Capone’s Ponderosa Springs Golf Course, 1291 N. Galena Drive, Coeur d’Alene, ID 83814.
