Too short of a stay, Brother

If you really knew Dave, you have some fun memories and a story or two. It might have been fishing, on the golf course or playing a pick-up basketball game. Maybe a six-hour “dump run!" It didn’t matter where you were, or what you were doing, it was fun!

Dave grew up in Rathdrum (mostly) and attended Lakeland Schools, where he made lifelong friends. While in high school, Dave was on the first Lakeland Golf Team. His passion was born. He and his friend, Tracy Hanson, became PGA and LPGA players. His love for the game continued for many years. Dave became head pro at Stoneridge Golf Course and became a beloved member of the community. He truly loved the game but mostly the people he interacted with — far too many to list here!

After his golf career came to an end, a new career in retail began. His charming personality made it easy to help any patrons. 

Dave was married once but had no children. He will be missed by his four surviving brothers: Howard (and Pam), John, Mike (and Tammy) Barrett and Aaron; foster brother, Robert Adkins; father, Walter E. Estes; and late mother, Florence Estes. 

A memorial will be held for Dave this spring or early summer. If you get a notification, please share so as many friends and family can attend.
