Hayden, ID: Hayden Canyon Charter (HCC) is accepting applications for the 2024-2025 school year. Hayden Canyon Charter meets the needs of a diverse student population. HCC is “designed to prepare youth – through hands-on learning, in critical thinking and character development – to blaze new trails and solve real world problems.” The curriculum, instruction, and assessment are designed around project-based themes and hands-on applied learning that encompasses all subject areas throughout the day. Students will explore this applied learning approach, aligned with the highest academic standards, through outdoor field experiences, artistic discovery, scientific investigation, STEM activities and innovative process improvement. The HCC board reserves the option to extend the enrollment period, or have a second chance lottery, if target enrollment is not met during the initial lottery process. All prospective students will be given the opportunity to enroll in the public charter school regardless of race, color, national or ethnic origin, religion, gender, social or economic status, or special needs. The application will open again on March 11, 2024 for those who did not make the initial deadline. Students who an application is received for after March 8 will be added to the bottom of the waitlist in the order their application is received. Enrollment: Hayden Canyon Charter will enroll a maximum of 668 students (including returning students) for the 2024-2025 year.
