LITTLE LEAGUE: Sandpoint's Danish pitches perfect game

SOFTBALL 

LITTLE LEAGUE 

Bella Danish of Sandpoint threw a perfect game with nine strikeouts as Sandpoint defeated Post Falls 15-0 in Idaho District 1 play Saturday at Stub Myers Park in Rathdrum. 

In the other game Saturday, Lewiston defeated Sandpoint 10-5. 

Post Falls faces Lewiston today at 10 a.m. to conclude pool play. 

The district championship game follows at 2:30 p.m. 

10U 

St. Maries beat Sandpoint 19-1 and Lewiston downed Sandpoint 20-9 on Saturday at Stub Myers Park. 

St. Maries and Lewiston will play for the district championship today at 4:45 p.m. 

BASEBALL 

JUNIORS 

Hayden defeated Timberlake 27-3 and Post Falls toppled Lakeland 23-3 on Saturday as the tourney opened at Croffoot Park in Hayden. 

The double-elimination tourney continues today, with Hayden facing Post Falls at 1 p.m., with the winner advancing to the championship game. Timberlake plays Lakeland at 4 in a loser-out game.
