Joseph 'Danny' Ormonde, 70

Joseph "Danny" Ormonde, 70, of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, passed away June 22, 2024. Born on July 16, 1953, to Tony and Lena (Andre) Ormonde in Long Beach, Calif., Danny grew up on a dairy farm alongside his three brothers and six sisters. His childhood on the farm instilled in him a strong work ethic and a deep love for family.

After leaving the dairy, Danny began a career in truck driving. He dedicated many years to this profession and retired in 2012 from Ralph's Grocers in Riverside, Calif. His dedication and hard work earned him the respect and admiration of his colleagues and friends.

In retirement, Danny and his beloved wife, Gina, moved to Northern Idaho to enjoy their golden years in the beautiful surroundings of Coeur d'Alene. They embraced their new community. Danny made numerous lifelong friends and continued to form strong bonds with new acquaintances. His infectious sense of humor and zest for life brought joy to everyone around him.

Danny's greatest joy in life was his family, especially his grandchildren. He cherished every moment spent with them, sharing stories and creating cherished memories. His love for life and family was evident in everything he did, and his legacy of love, laughter, and friendship will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

A Requiem Mass will be held Monday, July 1, 2024, at 11 a.m. at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, located at 4772 E. Poleline Road, Post Falls, Idaho. A visitation and rosary will take place Sunday, June 30, from 4 to 6 p.m., with the Rosary at 5 p.m., at Yates Funeral Home, located at 744 N. Fourth St., Coeur d'Alene, Idaho.
