Man arrested after armed standoff in Shoshone County

The Shoshone County Sheriff's office arrested a man in Osburn early this morning after a brief standoff.

Deputies reported that an intoxicated man armed with a handgun was threatening to harm himself in front of his family. They reported being able to disarm the man and place him under arrest following a 10-minute standoff

Osburn Police Department arrived on the scene to assist. The individual was charged with exhibition of a firearm and resisting arrest.
