TESH: Numbers don’t add up
As a FORMER donor to Tesh, I have wanted to write for a while now as I am concerned with the bias that I see Bill Buley has for that company.
I will not be giving my money to Tesh for a few reasons. At the last fundraiser with the administration’s full knowledge that they were losing a significant amount of their staff, the CEO stood in front of the crowd and stated that for the first time since she had come, Tesh had given raises to their staff. Is this not an omission or at the very least being dishonest with her donors?
I understand that there is another fundraiser coming up. The premise is to raise money for new vehicles. It has been stated on the Tesh website that many of the vehicles that Tesh currently has, have accrued 60,000 miles on them every year. Is that a typo? That would mean that if they had 10 vehicles, they would have been driven 6,000 miles a month. How was that done if, as stated, the programs closed for two months? Is this another example of Tesh being dishonest with their donors?
Also, on the same website it states that Tesh serves 400 individuals a year when in the article it states that Tesh is serving close to 65. Another typo?
I am incredibly disappointed that a once great agency is being led by an administration that is less than forthright to their donors and the community. What journalistic research did you do, Mr. Buley? It appears that your investigation of this issue is one-sided and is extremely superficial at best.
This community deserves the truth before they sink any more money into this agency. There are many other nonprofit organizations that have an outstanding track record — I will be putting my money into one of these.
