Because of you, Judy Meyer, Marge Shelby and co-directors Lee Starr and John Hartung, North Idaho is blessed with a thriving and successful Community Library Network which includes many area branch libraries.

Be so proud of being part of your small, organized group being responsible for the major changes to many little one-room libraries in this area. Starting in 1978, your group worked tirelessly devoting 25 years and thousands of hours so we can enjoy beautiful, modern facilities offering so many services besides books. You responded to popular demand by the many new library users.

As a longtime former employee, I witnessed this remarkable transformation until the new board members took over in 2022. Our libraries are now being run by Mr. Regan’s vocal minority.

Censorship happens when uptight adults in power impose their personal moral values on others. Looks like we are taking the same path NIC is experiencing.
