Coeur d’Alene man gets life sentence for child sexual abuse
COEUR d’ALENE — A man received a life sentence for sexually abusing four children over nearly a decade.
Jullian P. Sabin, 35, pleaded guilty in March to lewd conduct with a minor under the age of 16 and two counts of sexual abuse of a child under the age of 16, all felonies.
First District Judge Scott Wayman sentenced Sabin this week to life in prison with parole eligibility after 30 years.
Prosecutors said Sabin abused four different children, who were between the ages of 4 and 15 years old when the abuse occurred, from 2014 to 2023.
Two of the children disclosed the abuse in 2019, prosecutors said, but an investigation into the matter was closed after the children recanted their allegations. Last October, after all four victims came forward, a grand jury indicted Sabin.
Sabin initially pleaded not guilty to all charges, but changed his pleas in March, the Friday before a jury trial in the case was set to begin.
