| June 18, 2024 1:00 AM

Annette Marie DeMasters, beloved mother, daughter, sister and aunt, age 52, of Columbus, Mont., passed away Wednesday, June 5, 2024, in Billings, Mont.

Annette was born Nov. 14, 1971, in Kellogg, Idaho, to Vic and Joanie (Davis) DeMasters, being the second child of seven children. Her childhood years began in Kellogg, Idaho, and she lived there until her family relocated to Republic, Wash., due to the mine closures in the Silver Valley during the 1980s. She graduated from Republic High School in 1990. From there, Annette lived in Arizona, Idaho, Wyoming and South Dakota before settling down in Big Timber, Mont., where she resided for several years while working for Stillwater Mining Company.

In July of 2001, Annette’s beloved daughter, Larissa, was born, whom she loved and adored so very much. Annette was a wonderful mother and loved doing everything with her. At Christmas time, she would have her nieces come to her house to make cookies and other goodies with her and Larissa. Annette also loved decorating for Christmas and had a large collection of Mickey decorations that she would take pictures of and share with family and friends on Facebook. She would also provide gifts each year to a family in need of assistance.

Annette was also a wonderful auntie to her nieces and nephews, Faith, Kirsten, Avery, Alonna, Bradley, Zaide, Daxton, Caidan, Tavis and Blake. She loved them all very much and always enjoyed doing things with them. Just in the past couple of years, Annette also became a great aunt, which she was so excited about.

After the passing of her mother, Annette became the one in the family that held things together and took care of everything and everyone.  She will surely be missed by her dad, brothers and sister.

Annette is survived by her daughter, Larissa Teague of Billings, Mont.; her father, Vic DeMasters of Deer Park, Wash.; one sister, Melissa (DeMasters) Maple of Deer Park; four brothers, Jeremy DeMasters and Joseph DeMasters of Deer Park; and David DeMasters and Dan DeMasters of Columbus, Mont. She is also survived by her nieces, nephews, great niece and nephew, and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Preceding her in death was her mother, Joanie DeMasters; her brother, Brendan DeMasters; her maternal grandparents, Jack and Mary Davis; and her paternal grandparents, Bill and Bonnie DeMasters.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 22, 2024, at 10 a.m. at St. Rita’s Catholic Church in Kellogg, Idaho, followed by graveside services at Greenwood Cemetery, also in Kellogg. A reception/luncheon will be held at the Church Fellowship Hall following the services.

Flowers can be sent to the church prior to services. Anyone who would like to send cards to Larissa and the DeMasters family, please mail them to the care of Melissa Maple, 212 E. A St., Deer Park, WA 99006. Card baskets will also be available at the church and luncheon.
