KCSO searching for missing woman

The Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office is searching for a woman who was reported missing shortly before 9 p.m. Saturday at Old Mission State Park in Cataldo.

According to a KCSO press release, Linda Kent, 62, was last seen near the boat launch while visiting the park with family.

Kent is described about 5 feet, 9 inches tall, weighs about 180 pounds and has silver hair. She was last seen wearing a pink hoodie and green pants. The family told the KCSO that Kent suffers from dementia and may not immediately respond if contacted, the release said.

Deputies utilized drones, search and rescue dogs and watercraft in the search. ABLE 1 helicopter was also called in. KCSO’s volunteer search and rescue were dispatched to the scene and have since taken over the search efforts.
