POST FALLS — Woodbridge Park’s playground is getting a facelift. The Post Falls park project will add separate play structures for 2- to 5-year-olds and 5- to 12-year-olds, as well as new swings.

Post Falls park planner Robbie Quinn said a shelter and landscaping will also be added. The current playground in use is getting older and staff were having difficulty finding replacement parts and keeping up with maintenance.

The current playground at Woodbridge is staying in active use as the new equipment is readied.

Additional sidewalks are planned for the park as well as site furnishings. An expansion to the restroom building is also planned in order to better house storage for the department. During this stage of the expansion, the restroom building will be closed, but portables will be available for the duration of construction.

“We're doing most of that work in-house, so it's a little slower going just because we don't have the manpower to crank it out,” Quinn said.

The park projects are expected to be completed by September.

The Woodbridge Park playground is being replaced with newer equipment. The current playground will remain in effect as the new equipment prepared.
