Jacqulyn Korn, 82

| June 15, 2024 1:00 AM

Jacqulyn Mae Korn (Jackie), passed away peacefully, May 23, 2024, at the University of Kentucky, Chandler Medical Center, at the age of 82. Jackie was a resident of Lexington, Ky., since 2005, having previously resided in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, where she served as the church secretary for 10 years at Saint Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church. Jackie loved gardening, enjoyed spending time working in her yard, and was an avid "dissectologist" (assembling puzzles). Hundreds of puzzle boxes, yet to be opened, were found in her home at the time of her passing. She was also a devoted dog owner, supported the local humane society as best she could and will be buried with several urns containing the ash remains of her dogs preceding her death.

Jackie is survived by her brother, Jerry Noble (Elsie), sons Douglas and Kevin (Lisa), one grandchild and one great-grandchild. She is further survived by several nieces, friends and her dog, Daisy. She was preceded in death by her father, Mark Noble, mother Catherine (Cay) Adolphson and former husband Robert (Bob) Korn Jr. Sadly, both Jackie and her mother, Cay, ultimately succumbed to death due to breast cancer. Those wishing to acknowledge and support the fight against this devastating disease are encouraged to wear an accent of pink to the mass and graveside burial.

Mass of Christian burial will be held at Saint Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church (919 E. Indiana Ave., Coeur d'Alene, Idaho) on Tuesday, June 18 at 11 a.m. Visitation will precede at 10 a.m., with graveside services afterward at Saint Thomas Cemetery (East Sherman Avenue and North 23rd Street).  A luncheon will be held immediately following at Saint Thomas church hall for all friends and family who wish to attend — pasta with Mom's secret spaghetti sauce will be served.
