CHURCH: God’s love is for all

In response to the letter from James Seeley in the June 5 edition of The Press, he is certainly entitled to his opinion, as we all are. However, we wish to remind him that our church, Calvary Lutheran, is based on 1st Corinthians, Chapter 13, and especially verse 13, “So faith, hope, love abide, these three; but the greatest of these is love.” Our call from our Lord is to love all people and to openly welcome them into the family of God. It is not to shame, hate or marginalize them. Our Lord welcomed ALL to his side and in doing so, showed them the infinite love of God. Can we, as Christians, do less?
