LEGION BASEBALL: Northern Lakes sweeps Moscow in North Idaho League play

SPIRIT LAKE — Northern Lakes scored 10 runs in its first at-bat in the opener, and went on to sweep the Moscow Blue Devils 14-0 and 15-1 in class A North Idaho League play Sunday at Timberlake High’s John Shaffer Field.

In the first game, Grant Allaway drove in five runs — all in the first inning — for Northern Lakes (4-0), hitting a two-run single and a three-run double.

Parker Holly struck out six, walked two and allowed one hit in three innings, and also went 3 for 3 with a double and two RBIs for the Mountaineers. 

Caleb Mason also had a two-run single in the first and James Moore had a pair of RBI singles.

In the second game, Eric Wylie went 3 for 4 with an RBI and two runs scored for Northern Lakes. Wylie and Conor Killian combined to strike out eight and allow one hit, and Mason drove in three runs.

Northern Lakes plays host to the Coeur d’Alene Lumbermen 17U team Tuesday at 5 p.m.
