TERM LIMITS: Would help our country
I have a suggestion for improving our United States government that should be popular with most Republicans, Democrats, Libertarians and independent voters.
Since the president can serve two consecutive four-year terms, I think U.S. senators should serve a maximum of three six-year terms and U.S. Representatives serve a maximum of six two-year terms since there are many qualified people in the United States to hold these offices.
In addition, since the president has the power to issue unlimited presidential executive orders, I think those should be limited to 15 or 20 per year, and that way the president would give more thought to issuing one of these orders.
As an almost 80-year-old man and a veteran, I remember when people in our country got along and a lot more was accomplished in Washington, D.C.
May everyone reading this have a blessed day.
