PRIDE: You ARE loved!

While reading the newspaper, I see opinions stating that pride doesn’t represent them. I felt the need to share my view of pride from an ally and mother of a queer kid.

Pride is a month where LGBTQ+ can feel loved, especially in North Idaho, where they are constantly told they are not loved or supported. If the United States is a country of the free, why are we not free to be ourselves? Why must we take others’ rights away just because they don’t align with ours? It’s very hypocritical if you ask me, and that is why I have proudly become a Idaho Democrat. In times like this, we must show love, not hate. Especially to our queer kids. If you are tired of the hate and hypocrisy like myself, it’s time to vote blue.
