After graduation in 1985, he attended NIC for a short time then moved to sunny California. He worked in the sports television industry as a camera operator for Cox Communication. Eventually, he became a sports producer and director, “his dream job.” Marcus received many awards for the projects that he did. Which included “Emmys” and three “Telly” awards. Marcus’ last job was with Spectrum as a production manager.

He met and married Tina Zimmerman, they shared a love of sports. Marcus enjoyed coaching and cheering son Jackson and team in all his sports activities. They spent many happy hours at sporting events. After the years of having Jackson as his son, it was a thrill when Jackson called Marcus “Dad.”
