COEUR d’ALENE — A Coeur d’Alene Tribal School administrator was arrested Monday on charges of possession of a controlled substance.

As of Thursday, Christopher Luke remained in jail on $50,000 bail.

Luke is the business manager for the Coeur d’Alene Tribal School. He previously served a three-year term on the Coeur d’Alene Tribal Council.

“The Coeur d’Alene Tribe's highest priority is our youth and their safety is our foremost concern,” Coeur d’Alene Tribal Chairman Chief Allen said Thursday. “Our entire community is deeply shocked and affected by reports involving serious charges against one of our Tribal School administrators. We trust and respect the criminal justice process and will await the outcome.”
